Washington Ave. Bridge Concern
Hennepin County found some structural concerns during a routine check and has decided to reduce foot and bike traffic to the center of the bridge. They fear that if enough people stand on the edge, the bridge will collapse. This will pose a lot of problems with classes starting next week (the bridge is a major artery connecting the two campuses separated by the Mississippi River), and add anxieties over our infrastructure. Very frustrating.

How scary! Is it just a pedestrian bridge or do cars drive over it?
Cool shot, BTW.
This is the first I've heard of this. Of course I have been tuning out the news lately.
It's hard to believe that a bridge could be in bad enough shape that you have to worry about pedestrian traffic distribution, even if it is the pedestrian section. A sad testament to the neglect of our infrastructure.
Nice collection of photos.
